BVN - Rap and Christian music for the masses

I started making christian music when I was 19, but have always had an interest in writing and telling stories. In highschool

I ran the school’s Literary Magazine, Multum in Parvo, designed pages for the Yearbook, wrote for the Newspaper and filled journals with poetry. In college I began independently producing my own mixtapes. Now graduated, I am designing my own sound through production, vocalization and presentation. My ‘One Minute Songs’, or songs that are only One Minute in length, are a great example of how I have experimented with music so far.

Moving forward, promoting the Gospel is what inspires me to make music. I merge Alternative & Indie Rock with Hip-Hop to present spiritual messages. How does one achieve salvation? How do we use our innermost desires for good? And who am I in relation to our creator? Are questions that I seek to answer in my music. My most recent album, Roads, is about the passage of life from dirt roads, highways, and traffic into the Eternal Golden Roads of Zion.

I see myself becoming a musician that paves their own way and develops their own sound. I want to Encourage and Edify as many listeners as possible and make deep connections through my sound. I have a few listeners currently who appreciate and benefit from what I create and if God wants there to be more there will be.

There is one true God who has created all things. He is infinitely perfect and exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Scripture (both Old and New Testaments), as the inspired word of God, is without error in the original writings and provides the basis for our faith in Jesus Christ. The Scripture clearly reveals salvation only through faith in Jesus Christ, who is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross to atone for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and is preparing a place for those who have received Him. The Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, convict men of sin, and regenerate the believing sinner who He then indwells, guides, instructs, and empowers for Godly living and service.

Man was created in the image of God and he, like all creation, did not evolve from “lower” forms. Man fell into sin, and in so doing, caused the whole creation to be put into the bondage of sin and corruption. God created everything in six days, and man wrecked it in but a moment. On the brighter side, God will restore His creation in the near future when He creates a new heaven and new earth.
